Sevenoaks District Council is organising a fundraising running event in Knole Park on behalf of the Sevenoaks Area Dementia Friendly Forum.
The ‘Run, walk or push against dementia’ event is taking place on the morning of Sunday 13 May 2018 to help raise money for dementia services.
The run will be located in Kent’s last medieval deer park. The route includes undulations and a very steep incline, which makes it perfect for intermediate runners and those looking for a challenge.
Registration for the 10k run is £15. As this distance is intended for keen runners, it is not open to under 16s or people with pushchairs. A 3k and 5k run will begin after the 10k run at the same event. Advanced registration is £10 for people aged over 16 and £5 for under 16s. Both runs are suitable for children and people with pushchairs. Under 4s go free.
Details and booking will be open late November. Please visit: www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/runwalkpush
Everyone who registers will receive a voucher offering a 10% discount in the ‘Up and Running’ shop in Sevenoaks High Street. They can also take advantage of free, professionally led running class as they prepare for the event. Everyone who crosses the finishing line will also be presented with a commemorative medal. Results will be available soon after the event when a text message will be sent to runners’ mobile phone or available on the website the next day.
