What a day we had Friday at the awards ceremony & afternoon tea!!!
What a bumper bunch of nominations and finalists we had this year 🙂
Reducing down to finalists was hard enough, but getting to our winners was a difficult task for our judges, (all of which are affected by dementia) because the calibre this year was so high.
The winners were announced at the awards ceremony on the 20th October, and be placed on the website today

I say ‘Winners’ but in my mind they are all winners and all deserving of recognition, please take the time to look at the finalist information below.

Any community which has acted in an inspiring way to benefit those living with dementia
Winner: Sevenoaks DFC
This is open to any ‘small’ ‘specialised’ business, company or organisation who have actively made a difference for people affected by dementia
Winner: Heart of Kent Hospice
This is open to any ‘small’ business, company or organisation who have actively made a difference for people affected by dementia
Winner: Knole House
This is open to any ‘Large’ business, company or organisation including sports leisure, arts and hobby groups who have actively made a difference for people affected by dementia
Winner Kent Fire and Rescue
This is open to any project which is working across the generations to benefit both those affected by dementia and younger people.
Winner: Oasis academy Isle of Sheppey
This is open to any project which has been done in partnership with at least 2 other organisations and involving the local community
Winner: Faversham ‘Ask the Experts’
This is open to any inspiring individual who has made an outstanding contribution to improving lives of those affected by dementia. The individual may be a member of the community, a family carer, a person affected by dementia or an outstanding employee or volunteer.
Winner: Liz Jennings
