Bright Shadow are passionate about using creativity to enable people with dementia to have fun with the people around them. We want to provide opportunities for people with dementia to express themselves, communicate, discover new things and have relationship enhancing experiences with their families, friends and professional carers.
We have some free resources on our website which will help family members, friends and carers create these opportunities for fun throughout the year:
Bright Ideas
Free, themed activity resource sheets. You can download a seaside themed Bright Ideas sheet on this page and you can get your hands on more themes through our website: http://brightshadow.org.uk/bright-boxes/bright-boxes-bright-ideas/
Blog Articles
We regularly post blog articles that offer ideas, advice and encouragements to help you enjoy meaningful activities with people with dementia. Read our most recent articles here: http://brightshadow.org.uk/news/blog/
We also produce Bright Boxes, themed activity resource kits to help you celebrate the present moment and enjoy meaningful activities with a person living with dementia. Each box contains enough ideas and resources to keep you busy for at least one calendar month. Current themes available are Great Outdoors and Arts and Culture. Find out how to get yours here.
